Xiaomi 15 Ultra Camera Speaks confirmed before launch
The Xiaomi 15 series has been confirmed to be launched in India on 2 March. While the company is keeping it cool for global release, the Chinese version will be equipped with a 1-inch main camera and Leica 200-megapixel super telephoto lens.

Xiaomi India has announced that 15 series including 15 (vanilla variants) and 15 ultra, will be launched in the country on 2 March 2025. While the details are rare, the upcoming smartphone is expected to copy the Chinese version, launch on 27 February. Prior to launch, Xiaomi unveiled that 15 ultra-megapixel periscope will sport the telephoto lens, which will feature AF/2.6, ultra-wide aperture, a 1/1.4-inch sensor, and a 100 mm equivalent focal length.

Here, Xiaomi introduces its new “Summicron Ultra-Pure Optical System”, which promises to provide clarity and accuracy in night shots. It is noteworthy that these camera specs are outside only for the Chinese version. However, it is highly likely that the global version of Xiaomi 15 Ultra will also follow the suit.
Recently, the company has also shared the design of Xiaomi 15 Ultra. On the official Xiaomi micro-vebite, the design looks similar to the Chinese version.

Xiaomi 15 Ultra’s official render is a striking dual tone finish, originally highlighted mixed glass and vegetarian leather-a design option inspired by the Classic Laika cameras. Circular rear camera module retains the signature of Xiaomi Xiaomi, ultra-series beauty, housing four sensors and an LED flash strip. Additionally, the Italicized “Ultra” branding in the top-left corner of the back panel connects a sophisticated touch, which leads to its premium look forward.

Xiaomi 15 Ultra is expected to be launched with a 6.73-inch 2K micro quad-ficious performance for an immersive visual experience. Under the hood, it packs a 6,100mAh battery, with a long -lasting performance, supporting 90W wired and 50W wireless charging.
The phone recently appeared on the Geekbench AI database, with an octa-core Snapdragon 8 Elite Processor, 16GB RAM and Android 15 operating system revealed, probably based on Hyperos 2.0.
The phone is also rumored to offer IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance ratings. In the international market, at least 16GB RAM + 512GB storage option for Xiaomi 15 Ultra was also indicated in an earlier report. The phone is expected to be available in black, white and silver colors.
Xiaomi 15 Ultra is expected to be launched in China in CNY 6,499 (about 78,000 or $ 892), it is placed in position as a direct rival for premium flagship like Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra and iPhone 16 Pro Max . However, its availability and pricing in India is uncertain. For reference, its predecessor, Xiaomi 14 Ultra, started in India for 16GB RAM + 512GB storage variants for Rs 99,999.
Meanwhile, in China, Xiaomi 15 CNY starts at 4,499 (about 53,000 rupees), which offers a more affordable major option.
