Earlier this week, we reported that Google is considering expanding its Circle to Search feature to other Android smartphones. Launched alongside the Samsung Galaxy S24 series, the AI-powered feature was previously exclusive to only Pixel and select Samsung smartphones. But now, the Xiaomi 14T series is rumoured to feature several AI features including Circle to Search. The smartphone is set to release on September 26 in Berlin. It is arriving in the city a year after its predecessor Xiaomi 13T series was launched.

Xiaomi 14T series: Circle to Search and other AI features

Google Circle to Search is a visual-search tool that allows users to search for anything by simply circling it. The feature is powered by artificial intelligence and helps in searching the web faster. The feature offers flexible interaction methods, allowing users to initiate a visual search by circling, scribbling, or simply tapping on an object on their screen. Additionally, the tool can try to automatically identify the desired object with a single tap. To access this feature, users can activate it by long-pressing on the home button or the bottom navigation bar, which provides a convenient and intuitive experience.

Right now, this feature is only available on Samsung and Pixel phones, but that is going to change soon. According to the latest leak, the Xiaomi 14T and Xiaomi 14T Pro will have Circle to Search capability along with other AI-powered features. In another leak, reviewers of the TECNO Phantom V Fold 2 found that the device supports Circle to Search.

Despite there being no official confirmation from Google, this leak suggests that Android users from various brands like OnePlus, Oppo, and Motorola will soon get access to Circle to Search.

Apart from Circle to Search, the Xiaomi 14T and 14T Pro will reportedly come with four other AI-backed features: AI Notes, AI Interpreter, AI Subtitles, and AI Voice Recorder.

AI Notes is said to use cloud-based AI to provide AI summary, AI translation, and other functions in the Notes app. The AI ​​Interpreter is expected to enable real-time translation for personal conversations and seamless phone calls and conference meetings in different languages. Additionally, the smartphone will reportedly feature AI-powered accessibility enhancements, including AI subtitles for accurate transcription and an AI voice recorder for better audio capture.

Xiaomi 14T series: Expected features

According to the leaked promotional material, the Xiaomi 14T will feature a MediaTek Dimensity 8300 chipset, 12GB of RAM, and up to 512GB of storage (expandable via microSD). It is expected to have a 5,000mAh battery with 45W HyperCharge support. To justify the charging speed, the device is rumoured to have rapid charging capability, which can fully charge the device in just 45 minutes.
