Social media platform X experienced a massive outage on Tuesday, with thousands of users in multiple countries reporting problems accessing the service, according to outage-tracking website Downdetector.com.
In the United States, more than 22,900 users had reported problems with the platform as of 9.19am ET.
DownDetector recorded more than 7,000 outage reports from users in the United Kingdom as of 9.20 a.m. ET, as well as more than 2,700 reports from Canada.

DownDetector compiles outage data based on user-submitted reports, which means the actual number of affected users may vary.
X did not immediately respond to a request for comment from news agency Reuters.
