Social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, is currently shut down. Users are unable to view posts made on the platform or upload new tweets. Website DownDetector, which is known for reporting website outages, is also down. The issue stems from a Cloudflare outage. Cloudflare is an Internet infrastructure platform that provides many core technology services for websites and other online platforms.

According to The Independent, Cloudflare is aware of the technical outage that is affecting multiple websites. “Cloudflare is aware of and investigating an issue that potentially impacts multiple customers,” the company said in the report. “Further details will be provided as more information becomes available,” Cloudflare said.

Users attempting to access websites that use Cloudflare services were shown the message, “Internal server error on Cloudflare’s network, please try again in a few minutes.” According to reports, the outage started at 5 pm Indian time.

The outage comes just days after a massive Amazon Web Services (AWS) outage that affected platforms like Amazon, Snapchat, and WhatsApp.
