X affected by global outage, thousands report disruption
The social media platform company has yet to provide any explanation for the sudden disruption, leaving many users frustrated.

According to Downdetector, outage complaints reached over 25,000 at around 18:30 IST, as users reported problems accessing the platform and loading posts.
The cause of the outage was not immediately clear. X did not respond to a request for comment at the time of publication.
Reports increased rapidly in all areas
Users in multiple countries flagged issues almost simultaneously, suggesting that the disruption was not limited to any specific geography. Many said the app and website failed to refresh feeds, while others reported login issues.
DownDetector’s live tracking showed a sharp increase in complaints within a small window, pointing to a significant service disruption.

Monday’s outage adds to a series of recent disruptions affecting major internet services. X experienced a similar outage in March 2025.
Last November, a Cloudflare service outage caused access issues and downtime for many websites, including X, affecting users in all regions.
Although services appear to be slowly recovering, there was no immediate word from the company on the cause of the latest disruption.
