Rumors were true – Apple has finally changed its naming and design language in this year’s WWDC 2025. As mentioned during Kenot – this is the biggest design update in the last decade. The company introduced a new wave of software updates throughout its line-up. From iOS 26 and Macos Tahoe to iPados 26, Watchos 26 and TVOS 26, each platform now seems more connected and consistent than ever. This year’s theme? A cleaner, more modern experience in equipment, cooked with intelligent features. Here is everything you need to know.
Macos taho
Apple’s new MACOS update is called Macos Tahoe, and it brings the biggest design overhaul over the years. The interface now makes the cleaner feel more individual with smooth elements and translucent effects using a new liquid glass design. You will see changes in dock, sidebar, toolbar and even a completely transparent menu bar that makes everything feel more open.

Now you can customize the folder and app icon with symbols, emosus and color tints. The control center has been refreshed and can be re -located at the base of what you use the most.
There are also large productivity updates. The spotlight has been supercharged, as it can now run tasks such as sending an email or making a note directly, without opening the app. You will also see live activities from your iPhone – such as cab rides or food delivery – appear on your Mac in real time.
First, Phone App – Yes, one on your iPhone is coming to Mac with full capacity. When you continue to work, you can see recents, vomemails, even screen unknown calls or stay on hold.
Shortcuts now work better with Apple Intelligence, making you automate more functions, such as translating conversations or comparing notes with tapes.
Even gaming is getting promoted with new Apple Games App, Game Overley and Metal 4.
iPados 26
Similar to Macos Tahoe, iPados 26 is the largest update to 26 iPad, bringing a new look and some new equipment that make it feel like Mac, without losing its ease of use. Liquid glass design is also here, which adds depth and color touch to everything from lock screen to control center, while still keeps things simple and familiar, all bringing a newness in all UIs.

One of the biggest changes is an all-new windowing system. Now you can change the size of the apps, move them around independently, and more windows may be open at once. Even window is tiling, so you can just arrange apps by flicking them in place. A new menu bar app makes the app easier to find, and the exposure shows all open windows in a swipe.
The files app now supports the custom folder, drag-end-drop in the dock, and the list of more details in the list. And yes, the preview app is finally here, so you can mark PDFs with apple pencils, fill the form, or even sketch something quickly.
Live translation, background function, audio input selection, and local audio/video captures are now part of iPados, making it more capable for professionals and creators.
Watches 26
Apple’s design refresh does not stop just on Mac and iPad. Watches 26 also receive some scenes twice and useful day-to-day improvements. The interface on the watch now seems slightly soft and more dynamic with the changes that appear in the smart stack, control center and photo watch face. It still looks familiar, but is more depth about how information appears on the screen.

There are also some smart touch. Smart stack now shows more suggestions at the time – such as a signal to start a workout or use a Backetrack when it is conscious you are in a remote area. In messages, real -time translation is now created, and can suggest actions based on the clock reference, such as sending your place when someone asks.
For regular fitness users, a new feature called workouts provides inspiration spoken during sessions. This draws to highlight the milestone from your workout history or to track your progress in real time. The workout app is re -designed with quick access to custom settings itself, and it now suggests a playlist or podcast based on your habits. There is also a new wrist flicker gesture to dismiss the alert one-hand, and the clock can now automatically adjust the volume depending on its surroundings.
TVOS 26
While rounding update, TVOS 26 also brings Apple’s liquid glass design to a large screen. Playback control (eg audio adjustment or sleep timer) now slide subtlely, stay out of the path until needed. Even Apple TV app gains, with rich poster art that makes browsing feel more cinematic.

The switching profile is sharp, with the option of auto-show user selection on the wake-you are getting back to your wrathist or Apple music queue rapidly. A new developer API logins the app for your Apple ID, streamlining the setup for new users.
Apple Music Sing gets a fun upgrade: Your iPhone can now act as Karaoke Mike for Apple TV, which can be completed with real-time lyrics and on-screen effects. Facetime calls look sharp with redesigned interfaces and better live captions, while the new aerial screensaver shows breathtaking landscapes from India.
