Love Insurance Company (LIK) starring Pradeep Ranganathan in the lead role has been completed for a long time, but its release date is still unconfirmed. However, with Thalapathy Vijay’s Jan Nayakan likely to miss the February release window, it appears that LIK may release on this Valentine’s Day.
Is Pradeep Ranganathan’s Love Insurance Company scheduled to release on February 13?
According to an online report, Pradeep Ranganathan starrer Love Insurance Company is expected to release on February 13, 2026, coinciding with Valentine’s Day week. The film is reportedly going to undergo censoring soon, after which the official release date is expected to be announced.
However, this remains a speculation as an official update has not been made by the manufacturers yet. Initially, LIK was scheduled to release on September 18, 2025, but due to unknown reasons, the film’s date got pushed and was later announced to release on the silver screens on October 17, coinciding with Diwali last year.
Meanwhile, Pradeep Ranganathan and Mamita Baiju starrer Dude had finalized the same release date, which prompted LIK makers to postpone the film to avoid clash with another Pradeep starrer. After this the film was announced to be released on 18 December 2025.
After multiple postponements, there was no active promotion of the film around the scheduled release date and the release is believed to be in limbo with no official update from the makers. Now, it appears that the film may finally release before Valentine’s Day next month.

LIK is a science-fiction romantic comedy directed by Vignesh Shivan. The film is based in a futuristic version of Chennai in the year 2040, where romance is also programmed through apps and measured using technology. In this world, a man who believes in old-fashioned true love meets Dheeme, a tech-savvy woman.
As their romance becomes a threat to Suriyan, the CEO of the love app, the youngsters must fight for their love by going up against corporate entities and a technology-driven approach to romance.
Directed by the Love Today actor, the film stars Kriti Shetty in the lead role. Actors like SJ Suryah, Seeman, Yogi Babu, Gauri G Kishan, Shah Ra and others play lead roles. Additionally, Anirudh Ravichander not only composes the songs and background score but also lends his voice to a robot character.
