Five years after the original film was dropped on Netflix, the old guard returned to the screen. Old Guard 2 is creating a lot of discussion on the Internet for its brilliant story, performance and, most importantly, climax.
The film is left on a clifhenger, wondering whether the producers will return to the third film.
Directed by Victoria Mahoni, the film revolves around Andy and her warriors, who fight against powerful and dangerous discord to save humanity. The film brings back fan-psandida characters including Andy, Quinh, Joe, Booker and others.
Old Guard 2 Ending explained
In the last scenes of Old Guard 2, which make Charlize Theron in the lead, Quinh, who is the best friend of Andy, is found by the discord. While she is disappointed with Andy for not putting an attempt to find Andy, Andy also feels guilty about the same.
However, Niles hurt Quinh and leave him to die. Andy somehow saves her friend, and the two eventually reconcile. They form teams together and hunt for discord, although for their personal purposes.
While Andy is firm to find his old guard friends, Quinah wants to take revenge. As Niles, Tuh, Nikki, Kople, which and for the booker, they are all alive. Andy, with his team, fights with discord, but finally, the later victory. It catches all the friends of Andy and disappears from the premises.
This climax sets a base for a potentially new film, as many questions are unanswered.
Meanwhile, in a recent interview with The Direct, the filmmaker, Mahoni revealed, “I am not in the room. I’m not in that discussion whether there will be another or not.”
He added, “The duration of this film took me to me from other projects, so I am legally bound to some other projects. Therefore, I will be on some other jobs for the next six or seven years.”
Therefore, while Victoria Mahoni’s return to the director is not confirmed, who will take the project to his hands, only time will tell.
