Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter made their Bollywood debut with Dhadak in 2018. Now, almost six years later, Kapoor is reportedly set to share the screen with Khattar again in Neeraj Ghaywan’s upcoming film. While Janhvi is currently busy shooting for Sunny Leone’s Tulsi Kumari opposite Varun Dhawan, she has also taken out some time for Khattar’s untitled project.
According to a Bollywood Hungama report, the Gunjan Saxena actress has agreed to do a 10-day cameo in Neeraj Ghaywan’s upcoming film. The report further states that when Karan Johar and Neeraj asked Janhvi about the offer, she felt she couldn’t refuse as she respects both of them a lot. She has taken 10 days off her busy schedule and is excited to work with her debut co-star Ishaan Khatter again.
The source also revealed that the film will have two lead protagonists and discussions are underway with another young actor to join the cast. He mentioned that the story revolves around two friends and highlighted that Neeraj has developed a compelling narrative that will appeal to the audience. Additionally, the source mentioned that the treatment and tone of this film is quite different from Masaan. The film is expected to release in the second half of 2025.
Meanwhile, Kapoor was last seen in Ulj opposite Gulshan Devaiah. Directed by Sudhanshu Saria, the film released earlier this month on August 2, 2024. Despite a lot of expectations, it failed to perform well at the box-office.
She is currently busy shooting for Sunny Sanskari’s Tulsi Kumari opposite Varun Dhawan. Sunny Sanskari’s Tulsi Kumari also stars Sanya Malhotra, Maniesh Paul and Akshay Oberoi. Directed by Shashank Khaitan, the film is scheduled to release on April 18, 2025. It will be co-produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Karan Johar, Sumit Chawla and Shashank Khaitan.
She will next be seen in Devraa: Part 1 alongside Jr NTR. Directed by Koratala Siva, the film also stars Saif Ali Khan in a negative role as Bhaira. Devraa is scheduled to release on September 27, 2024. Stay tuned to Pinkvilla for more updates!
