Andrew Garfield takes a look back at his role as Spider-Man while promoting his new project, We Live in Time. In a conversation with Esquire Magazine, the actor revealed that he might consider returning as the Marvel superhero if the film has some unique elements and is culturally appropriate.
Garfield made his mark on the MCU story as Peter Parker with his solid performance in the 2012 film, The Amazing Spider-Man. He also reprized his role in the next film, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, where the actor’s role was reduced due to the film’s poor performance at the box office.
Meanwhile, the Red Riding Hood actor also made an appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home, which was led by Tom Holland and Zendaya. The Hollywood star believes his superhero role was left “dangling” and ended abruptly.
Additionally, talking about whether Tobey Maguire would also like to return to the franchise, the actor said, “I thought Tobey wouldn’t want to do that. He will act every 10 years, which has disappointed me a lot and I have shared this with him.

He added, “When I heard he was leaning like that, I thought it would either be the greatest thing in the world or the worst thing in the world. I’m so grateful because it was the happiest thing ever. All the pressure was on Tom.
No Way Home was one of the Spider-Man films that was declared a box-office hit, as Maguire, Garfield and Tom Holland teamed up to fight the evil Green Goblin.
As far as the character is concerned, the Sugar Rush actor revealed that he finds playing Spider-Man fun. Further in a conversation with the entertainment portal, the actor mentioned, “Definitely, I will be back 100% if it is the right thing, if it is connected to the culture, if there is a great concept or something that has not been done. It’s before it becomes unique and strange and exciting and you can get interested in it.”
He further added, “I love that character and it brings joy. If a part of what I bring is happiness, then I am happy in return.”
As for his upcoming project, Andrew Garfield will star opposite Florence Pugh in We Live in Time, which will be released in theaters on October 11.
