Director Quentin Tarantino responded to criticisms from actor Rosanna Arquette regarding the frequent use of racial comments in his scripts. He called out the actor for biting the hand that fed him and described the move as a “lack of class”. Tarantino said it was poor form to publicly denounce a project that contributed significantly to his own financial success and career earnings.

The Once Upon a Time in Hollywood director minced no words, accusing her of trashing the film and demonstrating a “definite lack of class, no less respect,” as reported by Variety.
While directly addressing Arquette in his statement, Tarantino didn’t hold back his disappointment over her recent comments. He openly questioned whether the media attention was worth burning bridges. The 62-year-old added, “I hope the publicity you’re getting from having 132 different media outlets writing your name and printing your picture is worth insulting me and a film that I well remember you being thrilled to be a part of? Do you feel that way now? Very possibly (sic).”
“But when I gave you a job and you took the money, I suspect that wasting it for very reprehensible reasons shows a certain lack of class, no less respect. There must be a sense of camaraderie between artistic colleagues. But it appears that purpose was accomplished. Congratulations.”
Arquette was featured in Tarantino’s 1994 noir-thriller, pulp Fictionwhich was one of the films he criticized in his interview with The Sunday Times. She said, “Personally, I’m beyond the use of the N-word – I hate it. I can’t stand that he (Tarantino) was given a hall pass. It’s not art, it’s just racist and scary.”
On the work front, Tarantino is returning to write the sequel to Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Project, confirmed by Diversityis being developed at Netflix and will be directed by David Fincher. Brad Pitt is set to once again play stuntman Cliff Booth, returning to the character with a mysterious past involving his wife’s death, which was never fully explained in the film.
