Chris Brown has recently filed a lawsuit against globally acclaimed studio Warner Bros. over sexual harassment allegations. The allegations against the highly acclaimed Under the Influence artist were made in the Warner Bros. Investigation Discovery documentary Chris Brown: A History of Violence.
According to Variety, the outlet reporting the lawsuit, Brown accuses the documentary’s producers, Warner Bros. and Ample, of defamation and intentionally causing emotional distress through the defamatory claims made against her.
The Angel Numbers/Ten Toes artist also alleged that the evidence presented to prove the claims shown in the documentary is false.
According to the outlet, the lawsuit reads: “Simply put, this is a case about the media putting profit over truth.”
Further in the lawsuit, Chris Brown’s legal team also mentions that, as early as October 2024, Ample LLC and Warner Bros. were served notice that they were promoting false information in the search for likes, clicks, downloads and Were and were publishing. Dollars—to the detriment of Chris Brown.”
However, they still aired the documentary on October 27, 2024, even though they had learned that the documentary Chris Brown: A History of Violence was “filled with lies and deception and violated basic journalistic principles.”
The lawsuit also says that the claims made by Jane Doe against the Look at Me Now cast in the documentary have been repeatedly “defamed”, further adding that she is a “perpetrator of intimate partner violence and herself Was aggressive.”
Although the lawsuit acknowledges mistakes that the Grammy winner has made in the past, it also notes that the artist “publicly acknowledged” these mistakes in his 2017 documentary, Chris Brown: Welcome to My Life and addressed”.
The lawsuit also said that the New Flame artist grew from those experiences.
