The smartphones are boring. Most of them are, anyway. This was not always the case. Like any new technology, smartphones were also fun and exciting once. But while every new technology develops in some fun and exciting – and better and inexpensive – after a while, the smartphone did not move the needle. There is nothing as a storm, but they are low and far away. Nothing phones are great, but everyone is nothing. Perhaps they want something else. What are other brands doing? We see those brands from today like Apple and Samsung. Well, not much.

Over the years, the smartphones of these two brands have become alleged, wrong … repetition. Nothing is new, nothing that we have not seen before. This is also true for a fold. The Samsung form factor does so well that it seems that it can now do it with a blindfold and yet, prices are not coming down. And because the upgradation is very low from year to year, wow factor is gradually disappearing. There is always a possibility that this may be a surprise – one can only expect – but fans are being careful. Waiting is annoying. Samsung can understand this.

So what does it do? This does what people are asking for.

Earlier this year, Samsung organized its larger 2025 Galaxy Unpacked Event to launch the Galaxy S25 series, which was the most sought-demanded lineup of slab-style phones. There were three models as expected: S25, S25 Plus and S25 Ultra. Regular run-of-the-mill goods. But then a fourth – Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge came from anywhere.

Samsung knew that after a long time your sleeve was a single, pay attention to you, “Another thing” moment you must have heard of it if you are in technology. And so, like any major brand of its height, it was also chosen to share what people should know at that time. no more no less. Only the name and design were revealed back. Four months after the first announcement, the phone is set to launch on 13 May.

The name “Edge” is the first Samsung phone with a throw with curved screens and other related Xinigons. In 2025, it means that the phone – S25 Edge – will be super slim.

The slim phone is anything but hot news, but Samsung’s vision talks about going “beyond”, whatever slim phone you may have seen till date, and possibly – some include anything made by Samsung. With S25 Edge, it is combining luxury with flagship hardware, which can be a device that can just start a trend or two.

The phone is so fast, Samsung had to manufacture a special type of glass – Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 – for the display. In chassis, it is using titanium. One of its biggest marketing tricks was straight, that Samsung has still said nothing how thin and light the phone is. Or the actual flagship hardware that is inside it (except that it has an ultra-level 200-megapixel primary camera). People can guess, which means they will talk. The discussion is real.

We will soon know everything about the S25 Edge, including its value tag, one of the most complicated aspects of the phone. If Samsung charges a premium, don’t be surprised, but as it may happen – and how it finally came out – there is no doubt that the Galaxy S25 Edge is the most exciting Samsung phone in years. Hopefully, it will survive till publicity. We will see
