Fluoridation of drinking water means that mineral fluoride for mining is added to water, an exercise that has been done to combat the effects of dental decay and teeth decay in the US.

Since the early part of the 20th century, dental decay and cavities were highly prevalent among the Americans, resulting in expensive treatment.

After evaluation and research, the Disease Control and Prevention Center (CDC) – US Top Health Body – performed a practice to add fluoride to public drinking water systems, which is considered one of the 10 great public health achievements in the 20th century.

However, according to a report by US Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Junior Associated Press, the CDC is ready to tell the CDC to change the recommendation of fluoridation for drinking water to join various health problems.

Now, the Department of Health and Human Services is ready to form a committee of health experts to make a new recommendation on applying fluoride in drinking water.

What is water fluoridation?

Fluoride is a naturally occurred mineral found in water, soil and even certain foods. Water fluoridation means adding minerals to the public supply of drinking water. According to the CDC, adding fluoride into water, which is less than 1.5 mg per liter, can be beneficial for dental health, especially leading to teeth decay. It can reduce cavities up to 25% in all age groups.

Its role in oral health was first recognized in the early 20th century when researchers saw low tooth decay rates in communities with naturally high level fluoride in their water.

However, a large amount of fluoride can cause adverse effects. Elevate Flupride Intake can also have a more serious effect.

Skeleton fluorosis (with adverse changes in bone structure) can be seen when drinking water contains 3-6 mg of fluoride per liter.

Why rfk jr. Wants to stop this practice

RFK Junior wants to prevent this decades-levy fluoridation exercise due to various health problems.

According to the Health Secretary, the level above 1.5 mg/L is known to increase health risks such as the recommended range, bone fracture, thyroid disease and nervous system damage.

Governor Spencer Cox became the first US state to ban the use of fluoride in public water systems after signing the law for that impact last month.

The American Dental Association opposed the Utah law and maintained support for community water fluoridation to help prevent teeth decay.

In the conversation by Amal Noordlin, a clinical professor of cardiology, prevention and restructural dentistry, Texas A&M University said, “Decades of research, including large-scale reviews by expert panels around the world, have not found any worldly evidence for serious health problems, along with world health organization as well as fluoride levels.”
