Liev Schreiber is best known for playing Sabretooth, who appeared in the 2009 film X-Men Origins. The third installment of the Deadpool movie included several cameos, but fans wondered if there was no room in the film to include Sabretooth’s cameo.
While promoting his upcoming film, Across the River and Into the Trees, the actor responded to questions from curious fans, and also revealed how happy he was to know that the character he played almost 15 years ago is still alive.
In a recent interview with the media portal, Schreiber reflected on the fan campaigns demanding the actor’s return to the screen wearing the X-Men suit. “It’s amazing. I can’t tell you how it feels when people think about something you’ve done and appreciate it so much that they want you to do it again,” the actor revealed in the interview.
Schreiber further said in the conversation that the response to his superhero character was compared to the response to his TV show Ray Donovan.
“When we finished working on Ray Donovan — and it was out of the question of finishing, Showtime pulled the plug on the series — I was overwhelmed by the support I got from the fans who watched it,” the Salt actor recalled.

The actor said that he will devote himself to the character, he is looking forward to taking the audience into confidence and is confident that fans will appreciate his roles.
“When you’re making a television show or a movie, I’m not there with the audience, I don’t know if anybody watches it or not. Of course, if you follow things like that, you can see the numbers; millions of people have watched it, but I don’t usually follow,” Schreiber said.
He added, “I was very surprised that we have so many fans, and I was very surprised that people were campaigning for me to be in the new Deadpool movie.”
Talking about Deadpool and Wolverine, the film featured veteran actors like Wesley Snipes, Channing Tatum, Dafne Keen and Jennifer Garner. Meanwhile, Marvel heroes Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth also made memorable cameos.
Deadpool and Wolverine are running successfully in theaters.
