Hundreds of international students studying in the United States have received emails from the US State Department (DOS), stating that their self-reliance as their F-1 visa (student visa) has been canceled due to campus activism. Crackdown is not limited to students who physically participated in the activism of the campus, but those who have shared or liked the ‘anti-national’ posts have also been allegedly targeted in these emails.
Some Indian students may also be at the end of such emails, for some for some as sharing a social media post, the Times of India reported, quoting the immigration lawyers confirming development.
According to the latest Open Doors reports, there are 3.31 lakh Indian students out of 1.1 million international students studying in the US in 2023-24.
Diktat announced the announcement of several international students’ visas about the announcement of anti-anti-anti-anti-anti-anti-anti-anti-anti-activities.
Rubio said in a press conference in Guyana on Thursday, “It can be more than 300 at this point. We do it every day. Every time I find one of these lunatics, I take their visa … Every country in the world has the right to decide who does not come as a visitor and who does not do,” On Thursday, there was a place in Guiyana, who was said to be in a press conference on Thursday. The visa was removed.
Talking to reporters on the aircraft back in Washington, Rubio said that 300 canceled visa was a combination of students and visitor visas. He said that he signed every action.
“At some point, I hope we run out because we have got rid of all of them, but we are looking for these lunes every day that are tearing things that are tearing.”
Rubio’s office also recently launched an AI-AIP app, “Catch and Rivok” to detect and cancel the visas of students supporting Hamas or other designated terrorist organizations. As part of the crack, DOS (including Consulate Officers) is also investigating new students applications, it is for an F (academic study visa), M (Vocational Study Visa), or J (Exchange Visa). If found guilty, applicants will be denied the opportunity to study in the US.
What did the email say?
The email received by the students of the officers asked him to give self-detail themselves using the CBP home app, which was launched by the US President Donald Trump Administration on 10 March.
“On behalf of the United States Department of State, the Consular Affairs Visa Office Bureau informed you that additional information has become available after the release of your visa. As a result, as a result, Experiencedxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
“The Bureau of Consular Affairs Visa Office has alerted the immigration and customs enforcement department of Homeland Security, which manages the student exchange visitor program and is responsible for removing the proceedings. They can inform your nominated school officer about your F -1 visa,” said this.
The document warned the student that if they live without a valid immigration position in the United States, it could lead to fines, detention and/or exile.
“This can also make you disqualified for future US visas. Please note that exile does not allow a person to be deported to protect safe property or matters in the United States. Refused persons can be sent to other countries other than their original countries,” it further reads.
This further stated that if the exile students want to return to the US in the future, they have to apply for a new visa, and then their eligibility will be re -established.
“As soon as you leave the United States, you will personally have to present your passport to the US Embassy or Consulate, who released your visa so that your visa can be physically canceled. You should not try to use your visa, as it has been canceled. If you intend to travel to the United States in future, you will have to apply for another US visa,”
‘Visa is not a birthright’
Earlier this week, Rubio insisted that the US visa was “not a birthright” and those who were found violating the terms of the visit would have to be released.
At CBS News Face the Nation Show, US Secretary Marco Rubio said, “I don’t know when we have got a visa in our head. It is not that.”
“This is a visitor in our country, and if you violate the terms of your journey, you are going to leave,” he said.
