Apple has urged millions of its users to update their equipment after severe security weaknesses in iPhones and iPads. The California -based company released an emergency security update on Monday (10 February), which revealed that it was targeted by “highly sophisticated” attacks.
After Bill Markazak of Citizen Lab at Mank School in Toronto, Tech veteran rolled out the update, which first highlighted the vulnerability.
The iPhone manufacturer said, “Apple knows about a report that the issue may have been exploited in a highly sophisticated attack against specific target persons.”
