Atlanta rapper young scooter, a popular artist who has collaborated with notable rappers such as the future and Gucci Mane, has died at the age of 39. He was involved in a disastrous accident during a police chase.
Kenneth Edward Rashad Bailey, more popularly known as a young scooter, was declared dead at the Gradi Marcus Trauma Center on Friday, according to TMZ reports.
The accident occurred towards the south -east of Atlanta, and the rapper died on the 39th birthday.
According to a report filed by the Atlanta Police Department, the police officers were watching two people running from behind a house when they were looking at two people. Police recognized one of them as belly.
After trying to jump on several fences, the belly was injured while chasing the leg. Lieutenant Andrew Smith of Atlanta Police Department verified that no shot was fired in the process. The injury was fatal.
Belly’s hip-hop career began after facing legal issues in 2008, when he was involved in drug trafficking charges. Future record labels, freebands signed him in 2012. In 2018, he collaborated with his songs, Jet Lag, with the future and juice Vrold, which reached the Billboard Music Chart.
He took the name Young Scooter and received one following in the Atlanta Rap community. In 2013, his popularity increased with Street Lottery, a mixtap that he created in collaboration with his childhood friend, Future. He also worked on Free BRICS 2 along with Gucci Mane.
