John Shwitarman, whose acting credit includes the 1997 Nickelodian film Good Burger, died at the age of 52. His family confirmed his death on social media.
On February 28, 2025, Schwierman breathed his last at Mercy Hospital in Washington, Missouri after battling Stage 4. His family revealed that he had revealed the “an aggressive form” of the disease. His last rites were held on March 4, 2025.
Born on 30 September 1972 in Indiana, Shwitarman made his career in acting. After high school, he moved to California, winning his first television role in McCaina (1994). He later performed guests at popular television shows such as Er, Felicity, Forever, and more.
His first lead role came in Good Burger directed by Brian Robins, in which he played the role of Kurt Bozwell, the villain manager of Mondo Burger, who is a rival Kenan ThompsonDexter and Kel Mitchell’s Ed at Good Burger Restaurant. The film became a creed classic, in which the exhibited as the correct opponent with the standout performance of Shwitarman. In November 2023, Paramount+ released the sequel to the Nicocodian film called Good Burger 2.
Schwieterman Warlock III also appeared in films like The End of Insensure (1999), American Intelligence (1999), Follen Arcs (2000), and more. His last major screen appearance with the 2007 film directed by Andrew Bowen, in which he played Michael Braga.
After his demise, his brother Chad Shwitarman posted on Facebook, “It’s with a heavy heart that I share the demise of my brother, Jan (JP) Shwitarman.
He said, “Please keep our family in our thoughts and prayers because we navigate this difficult time. Relax in peace, brother. We love you and remember you.”
John Shwitarman is left from his parents, Leroy Schwitarman and Clara Reid, as well as his brothers, nephews and nephews.
