Katie Slaton, which appeared on 1000 Elb. Sisters have died at the age of 37 with their cousins Tammy and Amy Slaton. The heart -wrenching news was confirmed by Tammy and Amy’s sister Amanda Halterman on Tuesday, August 26, who shared an emotional tribute on Instagram.
“This is with a completely crushed heart and soul I want to post this,” Halterman wrote. “My younger cousin sits at Jesus’ feet yesterday. He was a power with which was considered and the love was shown that was accepting and was given independently.”
Katie Slatton died on Monday, August 25 at Linda White Hospital in Evansville, Indiana, according to her obligation on the Whitesal Funeral Home website. A funeral service is scheduled on Friday, August 29, in WhitSal Funeral Home at Morganfield, Kentki.
Stage 4 Battle of Katie Slaton with Cancer
Earlier this year, Katie was detected by Stage 4 Gastric Adenocarcinoma, a rare form of stomach cancer. He began to undergo chemotherapy treatments immediately after diagnosis.
Amanda Helterman had earlier shared updates on social media about KT’s health fight. In January, he wrote, “Mai cousin, Katie Slatton, bravely fight stage 4 cancer, and we are asking for your support in any way you can present it.”
Tammy Slaton used his Instagram to ask fans for prayers and donations to help her cousin treat her cousin. Tammy said, “I am very sorry for asking a big favor in this way, but if anyone can help, even if it is a dollar, will help my cousin so much,” Tammy posted, “Tammy said,” Our family only came to know about getting cancer. “

In her tribute, Amanda described Katie as a “party’s life and my best friend”. He said, “I know that both our grandparents and friends were for welcoming in your house. Please pray for my aunt, uncle and cousin, but for most infants and to be strong for Natalie.”
The family also thanked fans who supported KT during their cancer trip. Amanda wrote, “Thank you all who have come out and supported them.”
Katie appeared on 1000 lb. The sisters, especially in season 5, were released from the weight loss rehab center. The TLC series, which follows the life of Tammy and Amy because they navigate the conflict with obesity, have been in the air since 2020.
