Thalapathy Vijay’s reported final film, Thalapathy 69, is scheduled to begin filming on October 5, 2024. The film, directed by H Vinoth, is expected to be an action film with a subtle political undertone.
As soon as the makers announced the cast list of the film, it was confirmed that Premalu sensation Malayalam actress Mamita Baiju is set to play a pivotal role in the film. Here’s a quick look at the actress’ filmography over the years.
Who is Mamita Baiju?
Mamita Baiju is an Indian actress mostly known for her work in Malayalam cinema. The 23-year-old actress made her film debut in 2017 with Sarvopari Palakkaran, co-starring Anoop Menon, Aparna Balamurali and Anu Sithara.
The actress played supporting roles in several films, including Honey Bee 2: Celebration with Asif Ali, Dakini, Varathan with Fahadh Faasil, Kilometers and Kilometers with Tovino Thomas and many others.
However, his roles in films like Operation Java and Kho Kho made him a prominent face in Malayalam cinema. Her popularity increased with the 2022 film Super Sharanya directed by Girish Eddy, in which she played the role of Sona Thomas.
Additionally, the actress appeared in films like Prannoy Vilasam and Ramachandra Boss & Company and her sensational film Premalu, which released earlier this year.
Mamita has already debuted in Tamil cinema with GV Prakash Kumar starrer Rebel and is also playing the lead role in Vishnu Vishal’s next. Additionally, he has also lent his voice for Kriti Shetty in Tovino starrer Ajayante Random Motion (ARM).
Now, the talented actress is all set to start her next project with Thalapathy Vijay, tentatively titled Thalapathy 69. The makers recently held a puja ceremony with the lead cast, which includes Bobby Deol, Pooja Hegde and Narayan. Also, he has announced that the shooting of the film will start from October 5.
