Who is Junaid Khan’s biggest critic? Maharaj actor reveals | Exclusive
In a recent conversation with IndiaToday.in, Junaid Khan revealed who is his biggest critic at home and how his acting style is different from his father Aamir Khan.
Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan was praised by critics for his role in the Netflix film Maharaj. Junaid played the role of Karsandas Mulji, who works for social reform. Apart from being a theatre actor, Junaid comes from a film family. In a recent conversation with India Today.in, Junaid revealed who is his biggest critic at home.
Junaid said, “We don’t talk much about films. But I know Ira (my sister) supports me unconditionally. I am lucky because I come from a very supportive family. Also, they don’t shy away from saying it. Even papa (Aamir) says, ‘Look, I feel it, but you should do what you want.’ Same is the case with mom. So, yes, I think everyone is very supportive and very encouraging even in criticism.”

Junaid neither looks nor acts like his father Aamir Khan. When asked about the height difference between the two and how his acting style is different from his father, Junaid said, “I think it’s a compliment (laughs). No, I don’t know how to answer that, because it’s not necessarily conscious. I think as actors we are all different. He is a brilliant actor. At times, between two of his films, you won’t be able to tell that it’s the same person. So, yes, we are very different as actors.”
After the success of Maharaj, Junaid is excited to return to theatre with his upcoming play, Strictly Unconventional, opening on September 1.
