Many may not know about the love affair of Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli, but their marriage was enjoyed by everyone. Several unseen pictures from their intimate ceremony held in Florence, Italy were shared widely on social media. Upon returning to India, the couple hosted several events, one of them being a star-studded wedding reception in Delhi. It was during this time that the Indian cricketer famously introduced the actress to his culture by translating typical Punjabi songs during folk singer Gurdas Maan’s performance.
When the famous singer and artist was talking to Mashable India, he took a step back in time. He recalled the love and affection he received from Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma when he went to Delhi to perform at their reception. Gurdas Maan said that when he sang some songs that had typical Punjabi lyrics, the cricketer would go to his wife Anushka Sharma’s ears, and translate them for her so that she could enjoy them as much as he did. .
During the same interview, the singer also said that the celebrity had planned a surprise for him during the event. She said that while everyone was invited to the couple’s event, she felt left out because she did not receive an invitation. “Virat loves me. That day, I was thinking that he had called everyone, but despite loving me, he did not call me,” he said. But he didn’t know that it was all planned. Gurdas Maan recalled that no one told him whose program he was performing in Delhi. The organizers were specifically told not to tell Gurdas Maan about the event until he reached the venue.
“I was thinking that Virat had not called me and I was completely surprised. After that I started singing,” the popular singer said, adding that he enjoyed Virushka’s performance. He also revealed that since then, whenever he performs at an event in Delhi, the audience requests him to sing the same songs that he sang at Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma’s wedding. The couple is currently in London and spending time with their children Vamika and Akaye.
