Rashmika Mandanna is one of the most talked about superstars in the country. Apart from her versatile and exceptional acting skills, she is also loved for her ethereal beauty, glamorous style statement and humble and cheerful nature. But things weren’t always so good.
The Dear Comrade actress once revealed that she faced rejection initially and was told that she didn’t have the ‘face of an actor’. Rashmika spoke about this in an interview with Baradwaj Rangan on Galatta Plus.
She said, “I would come back home and sit and cry. After that, there was another film I auditioned for last time and I got it. We went to train for that film.” The actress added that even after training for 2-3 months, the film did not work.
Furthermore, the Animal actress revealed that she was rejected from 20-25 auditions, and people told her that she doesn’t look like an actress.
In the same interview, the actress also said that she has a strong desire to improve with each film. She said, “The desire to constantly improve and get better is very strong in my mind. I watch my films, and think, oh my god, I wish I could have done better.”
On the professional front, Rashmika Mandanna has several exciting projects lined up. The first of these is the much-awaited pan-India film, Pushpa 2: The Rule. The upcoming action drama is a sequel to Sukumar’s directorial Pushpa: The Rise.
Apart from this, Rashmika has two big Bollywood films. She will share the screen with Vicky Kaushal in ‘Chhava’ and with Salman Khan in ‘Sikander’. Interestingly, ‘Chhava’ will clash with ‘Pushpa: The Rise’, which will release in theatres on December 6.
Apart from this, Mandanna is also a part of Dhanush starrer Kuber. Directed by Shekhar Kammula, the film also stars Nagarjuna, Jim Sarbh and Dalip Tahil in important roles. It is reportedly a political drama in which Dhanush is playing the role of a homeless person in Dharavi who later becomes a mafia don.
