When R Madhavan said that he was ‘very jealous’ of Dhanush because of this

R Madhavan’s collaborations with filmmaker Aanand L Rai in Tanu Weds Manu and Tanu Weds Manu Returns emerged as commercial blockbusters. In 2015, the actor praised the filmmaker and said that Aanand’s expertise lies in knowing his cast well. Furthermore, R Madhavan also revealed that he was jealous of Dhanush when the actor-director duo worked together in Raanjhanaa.

In an interview to Indiaglitz, he said, “When Dhanush was doing his next film with Anand, I was very jealous of him because I was going to miss him. I would be jealous of all the actors Anand works with.”

Further, the Minnale actor spoke about Aanand L Rai and Dhanush’s collaboration in the 2013 film ‘Shaandaar’. Further, Madhavan praised the filmmaker, saying, “Aanand’s expertise lies in the fact that he knows his actors really well. As a director, he has told me things that gave me goosebumps. I think why can’t anyone tell me something like this?”

It is pertinent to mention that Aanand L Rai reunited with Dhanush in the 2021 film Atrangi Re, which also starred actors Sara Ali Khan and Akshay Kumar.

According to reports, the film directed by Sekhar Kammula is set in Dharavi, Mumbai, with the Ryan actor reportedly playing a homeless man who becomes a big mafia. Apart from this, Dhanush will also be seen in the much-awaited biopic of legendary composer Ilaiyaraaja by Arun Matheswaran.

On the other hand, Madhavan will be seen teaming up with Nayanthara and Siddharth in an upcoming sports film titled Test. The film is directed by S. Sashikanth and written by Suman Kumar. According to reports, the story revolves around three people whose worlds collide during an international cricket test match in Chennai, forcing them to make tough life-changing decisions.
