Anupam Kher shares a nostalgic memory after meeting Kareena Kapoor Khan on a flight to Delhi, reminisces about her debut film Refugee and praises her evolution in 25 years.
What started as a simple flight to Delhi turned into a trip down memory lane for Anupam Kher when he unexpectedly met Kareena Kapoor Khan on the plane. This meeting refreshed his memories first collaboration in refugee (2000)Kareena’s first film, and Kher got the opportunity to reflect on how the actor has evolved over the last 25 years while staying true to himself.
Sharing the moment on Instagram on Sunday, December 21, Kher reiterated his first impression of Kareena from the sets of JP Dutta’s film. He wrote, “The first time I met #Bebo was on the sets of JP Dutta’s #Refugee! The year was 2000! And it was her first film. She was stunningly beautiful, confident but vulnerable, desperate to make it big (which she did) and surprisingly genuine as a person! Over the years I have seen her grow into a very fine and beautiful actress!”
According to Kher, their recent conversation on air was equally charming and heart-touching. The veteran actor said that despite being in the industry for decades, Kareena’s curiosity and enthusiasm for meaningful conversations remains intact. He also shared his joy at seeing her continued passion for challenging roles and her down-to-earth nature, qualities which he feels have been with her since her early days.
Thanking Kareena for the warm exchange, Kher said in his post, “Dear #Kareena, thank you for your warmth and appreciation! Yes! I look the same all these years. May God keep you and your family happy and healthy! Love and prayers always.”
