Biryani has long been a dish that holds a special place in the hearts of food lovers around the world. Known for its rich flavor and aromatic spices, this South Asian dish is quite popular. And it’s no wonder that even celebrities can’t stop themselves from enjoying a plate of this beloved dish. Recently, actress Sonam Kapoor gave her Instagram followers a glimpse of her delicious biryani experience in Hyderabad, a city famous for its rich culinary heritage. Taking to her Instagram Stories, Sonam shared a delicious post that left us drooling. This spread was a true tribute to Hyderabadi cuisine, with all the flavors and textures that make it so famous. At its center was a hot case filled with the iconic Hyderabadi biryani – an aromatic dish made with basmati rice, meat and spices like saffron and cardamom.

Next to the biryani, there was a bowl of creamy raita, a cool side dish that pairs perfectly with the heat of the biryani. To add even more joy to the feast, Sonam’s spread included a container of Hyderabadi-style chicken fry, cooked with garlic, green chillies and curry leaves. The chicken pieces were golden, soft and delicious! The feast did not stop here. The spread also included seekh kebabs, served with lachcha pyaz (crisped onions), another classic addition to Hyderabadi food. To complement these rich dishes, there were fresh slices of tomato, cucumber and onion on the side. The actress expressed her gratitude in the caption, saying, “Nothing like home made biryani in Hyderabad. Thank you Pinky Reddy, you are the best.”

In September, Sonam hosted an intimate dinner party with a unique Indian-themed menu. His personal chef shared a behind-the-scenes video of the preparations. The meal included a grazing board with spicy sweet potato and almond tikkis and aloo tikki chaat made with coconut curd. For the main course, there was Kerala-style curry, honey-roasted duck masala, crispy garlic Brussels sprouts, and cumin baby potatoes, Kolkata-style veggie milk pulao, and a variety of side dishes.
