Hollywood star Angelina Jolie once hired a hitman to kill her when she was going through a bad phase in her life. Jolie had earlier spoken openly about her past in an interview with The Face.

Speaking about the incident, Jolie told the publication, “They (hitmen) are not that hard to find in New York. As weird as it may sound, I think a lot of people consider suicide when they’re young.”

Jolie said she “knew” that if she took this step, the people around her, her loved ones, “would feel like they hadn’t given enough or done enough”: “So my solution was that if someone else had taken my life — like in a ‘robbery’ — it would have been murder, and it wouldn’t have been like anyone would have felt like they had let me down,” Jolie said.

However, things changed when the concerned hitman asked her to reconsider her decision.

Jolie concluded, “He was a very decent guy and he asked me if I could think about it and call him back in two months. Something had changed in my life and I thought I would just keep it going.”
