Aamir Khan is undoubtedly a master of his craft. He has always put his blood and sweat into the projects he is associated with. One of his most memorable films is Ghulam, which gave an evergreen song ‘Aati Kya Khandala’. In a recent interaction, PR professional Parul Chawla shared an interesting anecdote, in which she revealed how Aamir went out of his way to promote the song.
While speaking to Pinkvilla’s Hindi Rush, Parul Gulati was asked who is the celebrity she likes, who she enjoyed working with and who did the job asked of her well. To this, she said that it has to be a “legend”. She further recalled working with Aamir Khan in Ghulam’s song Aati Kya Khandala.
The PR professional went down memory lane and said that there used to be beta tapes back then which were shown to music channels. He further said that he went to Ghulam’s producer Mukesh Bhatt and the song was a superhit. He recalled how he went to the Dangal actor with a list of interviews.
“When we gave him the list, he said, ‘Do I have to do so many things?’ Then I said, ‘We can shorten the list if you want’, and he said, ‘No, I will do all the things’.” Expressing his views, he said that the actor “always had a vision.”

“They were so forthcoming about their campaign that they allowed us to do this. They gave us freedom. I knew they had a different perspective and that’s why they travelled so well. When you have a professional attitude, you move ahead,” he said.
Vikram Bhatt directed Ghulam was released in 1998 and starred Rani Mukerji in the lead role opposite Aamir.
Talking about work, the shooting of Aamir Khan’s film ‘Sitare Zameen Par’ was completed in June earlier this year. A sequel to the 2007 release ‘Taare Zameen Par’, the upcoming film revolves around a sports coach who mingles with and trains a team of differently-abled children. The film also stars Genelia Deshmukh in an important role.
A source close to the development had previously told us exclusively that the film will have “interpersonal relationships” and “development of the lead characters” similar to the previous film; which also ties in with the choice of the film’s title.
