WhatsApp is rolling out a new update for Android users, which is an important update that can prove to be useful for many. The messaging app now allows people to set the default media quality in the settings, which will be a big relief for those who have to exchange images for some work on WhatsApp and they have to select HD mode for the same.

The latest update, which was previously available only for beta testers, is now being rolled out to the stable version of the app. So, everyone will be able to access it. With this update, you don’t have to select HD mode for videos or photos when sharing them with someone on WhatsApp. You can easily set HD quality in the Media Upload Quality option, which appears in the Settings section > Storage and Data.

The feature is set to standard quality by default, so one needs to select the HD option in the settings to be able to share high quality media by default. India Today Tech members have received the update and those who haven’t seen it yet should wait for a few days as it takes a few days to reach everyone.

Apart from that, WhatsApp recently released an update that added a screen sharing with audio feature. This is for those times when you want to watch a video together or share something on your screen during a call. Previously, you could share your screen, but now your friends and family members can also hear the audio, making the experience even more immersive and interactive.

Video calls have also received significant improvements. WhatsApp has increased the number of participants you can join in a video call to 32. This means you can now include more friends, family members or colleagues in a single call, whether you are using a desktop or mobile device. This is a great feature for virtual meetings, meetings or online classes.

It can be hard to keep track of who’s speaking during a group call, but that’s no longer the case. With the new Speaker Spotlight feature, the person who’s talking will automatically be highlighted and appear first on your screen. This makes it easier to understand the conversation and ensures that the speaker gets the attention they deserve.
