The White House has launched an official Tiktok account, even the future of the stage remains uncertain in the United States. The move comes less than a month before a time limit to sell its American operations, sell its American operations, sell its American operations or to face a nationwide ban. The new account was live on Tuesday with a video assembling of President Donald Trump. Within hours, thousands of followers were received in the account. According to CNN, till 8 pm on the day of launch, it was more than 20,000. Soon another post was followed, including the seasonal footage of the White House.

This is the first official White House account on the stage, although both Trump and former President Joe Biden had individual tiktok during the 2024 election campaign. Trump’s personal account has more than 110 million followers, although his last post was on election day in November 2024.

White House press secretary Karolin Lewitt said that the move reflected the communication strategy of the administration. “The Trump administration is committed to communicating historical successes, with President Trump to extend the American people with more and more audiences and platforms,” he said. Commercial insider,

The launch time is striking. A law required Ticketkok was signed by the then President Biden last year to sell or ban the American buyer, citing national security concerns on its Chinese ownership. MPs feared that Beijing could take advantage of Tiktok data on American users or use the app for publicity. Tikok has refused to share data with the Chinese government.

The law came into force on 19 January, a day before Trump’s inauguration. Tikok became briefly offline in the US before Trump returned after the delay. Since then, they have extended the deadline thrice, most recently in June, pushed it back on 17 September.

Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnik told CNBC The condition of the administration last month was clear. He said, “We have decided. You may not have sugar control and something on 100 million American phones,” he said, a resolution from Beijing will need “very soon”.

Trump’s stance on Tiktok has been dramatically transferred in recent years. He was the first to call for the ban in 2020, but during the 2024 campaign, he embraced the stage, credited to help it join with young voters. He even hosted Tikok CEO Shoo Zee Chev at his Mara-e-Lago Estate and invited him for his inauguration earlier this year. Tiktok is one of the most popular apps in the country, which is about 170 million American users and around two billion worldwide. Its fate is now hanging on the conversation between Bidens, Washington and Beijing.
