The film is directed by Nitish Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios in association with eight-time Oscar-winning studio DNEG and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations. The two-part epic is set for release in IMAX worldwide, with Part 1 scheduled for Diwali 2026 and Part 2 for Diwali 2027.

Ranbir recently confirmed that he will play a dual role in the Nitesh Tiwari directorial. He will be starring as Lord Rama and will also be seen briefly as Parashurama, the former incarnation of Lord Vishnu.

Sai Pallavi will play the role of Goddess Sita in the film. Yash, known for his role in KGF, will play the character of Ravana. Sunny Deol and Ravi Dubey will play the roles of Hanuman and Lakshman respectively. Kajal Aggarwal and Rakul Preet Singh will be seen in the roles of Mandodari and Surpanakha. The cast also includes Arun Govil, Kunal Kapoor, Adinath Kothare, Sheeba Chaddha and Indira Krishnan.
