The Vivo X300 Ultra was officially unveiled on Monday, with plans to ship in China first and expand to global markets soon after. Yes, the X Ultra is going wide for the first time. So, are you tempted?
In China, the base 12/256GB model is priced at CNY 7,000 and started shipping on Friday. This converts to $1,020 / £775 / €885 / ₹95,000. These will not be the actual prices of the X300 Ultra in global markets, of course, as they will be revealed later. And, again, we can’t use previous models as a reference because neither the X100 Ultra nor the X200 Ultra was available globally.
But the Vivo

And it will be one of the best camera phones on the market – it has 14mm + 35mm + 85mm lenses, two of which sit in front of the 200MP sensor (1/1.12” in the main and 1/1.4” in the telephoto).
It also comes with a Photographer’s Kit with two teleconverter lenses, the Zeiss G2 (200mm) and the Zeiss G2 Ultra (400mm). But you don’t need an Ultra to use these lenses – the G2 is compatible with select X300 models and the X200 Ultra, while the G2 Ultra will be optimized to support the X300 Pro and X200 Ultra. Here is the full compatibility list.

Additionally, the phone packs a massive 6,600mAh Si/C battery with 100W wired and 40W wireless charging. It’ll be slightly smaller when the phone reaches Europe, though – the EPREL listing has it at 6,400mAh.
We know that unless you are reading this from China, it is too early to make a final decision on whether to buy the Vivo X300 Ultra or not. One of its main competitors, the Oppo Find Honor Magic8 Ultra is also in the works, but its launch date has also not been officially determined.
Still, it’s a good time to “check the pulse” on this phone – is the Vivo
