They are here-Samsang launched its next-gene foldables this week. It includes a new fold and a new flip model and first, a cheap Flip Fee. Are your eyes set on a particular model – and if yes, which one?
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 is quite thin compared to its predecessor – it moved from 12.1 mm/5.6 mm to 8.9 mm/4.2 mm when it turned/unfolded. It is also light, 215g vs 239g. This is 3g less than S25 Ultra!
However, Samsung had to sacrifice something: the battery capacity was the same (4,400mAh), as charging (25W/15W) and S pen support have been removed.
Both displays have grown – 6.5 “cover displays (above 6.3”) and 8.0 “inside (above 7.6”). It comes with increased dimensions, however, a folded phone now measures 158.4 x 72.8 mm, compared to the first 153.5 x 68.1 mm. What is worth it, the vanilla S25 is 70.5 mm wide and the edge is 75.6 mm, so Z fold 7 is still usable one-hand.
The phone now claims a 200MP main camera and other upgrade – see about the camera samples and New York taken by us. A change that can prove to be less popular is that Samsung removed the under-display camera from inside and replaced it with a 10MP punch hole camera-it provides better quality, of course, but now there is a hole in the 8 ”display.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 has dropped from 14.9 mm/6.9 mm to 13.7 mm/6.5 mm at its predecessor (weight is inevitably unchanged at 188g). However, this model brings a large battery – 4,300mAh is not very large, but it is surprising to see the slimmer build (and since Samsung Z fold7 cannot increase the capacity of the battery).

It is a single inside and out of a large performance-an edge-to-ej 4.1 “cover display and a 6.9” internal performance. However, the only notable change in camera setup is 10-bit HDR video support (also available on Z fold 7). This means that there is no dedicated zoom lens, so you have to do 2x in-sensor zoom from 50MP main. See our camera samples to see what looks.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 Fe Z Flip6 is like a re -release. Comparison here – Long story short, last year’s Exynos 2400 (from S24 series) replaces Snapdragon 8 General 3 for Galaxy. Performance is about the same, but efficiency is a matter of concern. S24+ (Exynos 2400, 4,900mAh battery) scored 12:30 runs in our active use test, while S24 Ultra (Snapdragon 8 General 3, 5,000mAh) lasted long and scored 13:49.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 Fe
The FE has a capacity of the same battery, despite being thick compared to the Z Flip7, 4,000mAh. In addition, it has low RAM, 8GB vs 12GB. And if it was not enough, the Z Flip7 Fe is not available from the American carrier (although retailers sell unlocked units).
When we are on the subject of chipset, we should note that the premium galaxy Z Flip7 is exclusively powered by Exynos 2500 – yes, even in the North American market.
Take a look at pricing. The Z Flip7 Fe starts less than $ 200/£ 200/€ 200 compared to the Z Flip6 made last year, but you can still find Z Flip6 units – and they often spend less than Fe. For the other two, Z Fold7 received the pricier, while the Z Flip7 is priced the same as the Z Flip6 launched.
