A decade ago, Samsung released the Galaxy alpha-one slim and light (6.7 mm, 115 g) premium phone, promising to shake the status quo in high-end smartphone design. His success is suspicious as the Galaxy S6 met with the subsequent criticism, which was addressed with the S7.
But we are here again – Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge asks “What if the flagship phones were thin and light?” Despite the same height and width as S25+, the edge is slimmer (5.8 mm vs 7.3 mm) and lighter (163g vs. 190G). In the process of slimming below, Edge lost a 1,000mAh battery capacity, leaving it with only 3,900mAh in the tank.
The telephoto camera has also gone, but Samsung tried hard to fit into a sophisticated 200MP module – would it be better in zooming than the S25+ tele camera? May be, 10MP 67 mm is not a high bar to clarify, but it is something that will appear through reviews.

Samsung is reportedly observed to see how the edge to leave the S26+ in favor of the S26 age next year. In the same vein, Apple will soon consider whether to jet the iPhone 17 Plus in favor of the upcoming iPhone 17 Air.
