This year, Samsung Galaxy A56, A36 and A26 are three different differents on the mid-ranger formula with three different price tags. Below are prices for Europe, India and America – yes, A5x is available in America this time, which is a big thing.

Note that there are some regional differences, such as the 12/256GB versions of A56 and A36 in India, but A26 is not available. In addition, during the least launch time limit, Samsung India is offering a free storage upgradation.
Now, let’s look at the phone for yourself. All three have 6.7 “OLED displays with 1080p+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. They have been rated IP67 and are 5,000mAh batteries. All three have 50MP main cameras on the back with OIS.
The Samsung Galaxy A56 is the leader of the pack with performance Exynos 1580 chipset. Its main camera (1/1.56 “) and a better 12MP ultra-wide camera is the largest sensor. Its performance supports HDR10+, both and the A36 displays can achieve higher brightness than both the A26 models. The A56 is also the only one with an aluminum frame, the other two uses plastic (in all three Gorilla Glass Victus+ forward and back).

Anyway, the A36 UFS uses slow UFS 2.2 storage instead of 3.1 and has an 8MP sensor in ultra-wide camera. The 12MP selfie cameras on A36 and A56 support 4K video recording, A26 does not do 13MP camera.

Samsung Galaxy A26 runs on an EXYNOS 1380 in most regions and an old 1280 in Latin America. On the plus side, it is the only one with a microSD slot. It does not have a 3.5 mm headphone jack (nor others do not do), not even stereo speakers. Some other downgrades include slow charging (25W instead of new 45W charging on A56 and A36), a side-display instead of one and a notch instead of a punch instead of a punch hole.

Note that A56, A36 and A26 will get 6 OS updates and security patch for 6 years. This is better than some flagship and is almost as good as the Galaxy S models are available.
Okay, there is another look at the pricing table if you have to do and let’s talk about which of the three (if any) is right for you.
Samsung Galaxy A56 is a solid upgradation on its predecessor. And where the A55 was not available in the markets, it is a great upgrade on A35. Nevertheless, Samsung could go a little further – a telephoto camera, probably, or wireless charging? Perhaps it did not want to step on the toes of S24 Fe.
