Lack of Google Play services is still a concern for many people, but last week survey shows that Huawei has not lost its Mojo – especially the new Pura 80 Ultra is a highly desirable phone. He said, it can be out of reach for many people, literally or rhetorical.
Huawei Pura 80 Ultra was very warmly welcomed. If Huawei was still using Android associated with Google, it could have been one of the best selling premium phones of the year. This is not only Google Play Access, however. When Huawei was embarrassed by the US, it had to shrink its global distribution network and it is still not cured.
There was a debate on the telephoto camera – many people felt that Huawei could have been clear about this in his marketing. The camera offers an option of 3.7x and 9.4x zoom, but it cannot perform full resolution shots at the focal length for a long time. The larger 1/1.28 ”50MP sensor is perfectly usable at 3.7x, but crops 2x in 9.4x mode, which limits the resolution to 12.5MP.
Huawei Pura 80 Pro and Pro+ vary mainly in more advanced satellite messaging support for later. And yet Pura 80 Pro+ was a clear favorite between the two – it goes to show that satellite messaging would be a more important feature. Nevertheless, if there is a problem, you will be on your own. This also applies to warranty – if you import a Pura 80, repair and servicing will be difficult. And the last but at least, 5G band support is an issue in some areas.
Even everyone said, there is a good reason that Huawei was the largest smartphone manufacturer in the world. And Pura 80 families like phones are a good reminder of the same.
If you are not affected by the lack of Google services, mark your calendar on 10 July – this is the global launch date of the Huawei Mate 80 series. We are not sure all four models will be available (Pro+ is a long shot). In addition, we have not seen any advertisements in the European Union – but fans in South America, Africa and Asia are ready for new camera flagship.
