Weekly deals: Huge discount on Galaxy S26, prices of S26+ and S26 Ultra also cut

This week, Amazon UK is offering vouchers to reduce the prices of 512GB variants of three Galaxy S26 phones.

But first, here’s an interesting situation – the Google Pixel 10 has the same price as the Galaxy S25. However, look carefully – this is for the 256GB Pixel and only the 128GB Galaxy. Of course, the Galaxy S25 is last year’s model and is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite. However, it still handily beats Google’s Tensor G5.

The Galaxy S25’s replacement, the Galaxy S26, uses the Exynos 2600. In total there’s a massive £270 discount on the S26, which is a mixture of a £170 price cut and a £100 voucher. As mentioned above, this is for a 12/512GB unit, which makes it a hard sell on the older S25, even if you really prefer Snapdragon over Exynos.

For £70 more you get double the storage, a new chipset, a slightly larger screen and a significantly larger battery – 4,300mAh vs 4,000mAh. In terms of active usage score, you’re looking at 15:20 vs. 13:09. Most other things are the same, including the cameras and charging status (25W wired, 15W wireless, no magnets – in the phone, anyway).

Then there’s the Samsung Galaxy S26+ – it’s only worth a £100 voucher. Still, it costs twice as much as the S25 FE.

Yes, that’s for the 512GB S26+ vs the 256GB Galaxy S25 FE. Worse, the FE has an older chipset (Exynos 2400 vs 2600) and a lower resolution 6.7″ display (1080p+ vs 1440p+, both LTPO). But are the S26+ upgrades really worth twice the money?

There’s also the OnePlus 15R to consider, which is priced similarly to the S25 FE. It uses this year’s second top Qualcomm chip, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, and has a 6.83″ 1272p+ display. The battery is 7,400mAh – the active usage score of 21:36h beats the S26+ (16:25h) and crushes the S25 FE (which lasts 11:57 hours). Charging is only at 80W.

The biggest drawback of the 15R is that it doesn’t have a telephoto camera – not even a basic 8MP 3x or 10MP 3x like the S25 FE and S26+ respectively.

There’s also a £100 voucher for the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra. It has a unique privacy display and a reasonable set of cameras – even if they’re basically the same as the S25 Ultra cameras. Check out our S25 Ultra vs S26 Ultra article for key differences.

There are other things to consider too like the fast 60W charging, which made a difference in our tests. If you’re coming from the Apple side of the fence, we also have a Galaxy S26 Ultra vs iPhone 17 Pro Max article.

We will also publish an S26 vs Pixel 10 Pro XL article in the future. Speaking of which, there are some solid discounts on the Pixel 10 Pro XL and it comes in at £300 or so less than the Galaxy S26 Ultra (given 512GB of storage). The S26 Ultra also uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 in Europe, leaving Google’s Tensor G5 in the dust.

However, the OnePlus 15 also uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and is significantly cheaper than both – the 512GB model is £250 less than the Pixel and £580 less than the Galaxy. Without Hasselblad’s backup, the triple 50MP camera isn’t as good as it could have been. Actually, we liked the cameras of OnePlus 13 more. Still, the 7,300mAh battery achieved an amazing 23:07 active usage score and it supports both 120W wired and 50W wireless charging.

Let’s conclude with the Samsung Galaxy A57 and Galaxy A37, which launched this week. Amazon is offering £50 off at checkout and this includes a free pair of Galaxy Buds3 FE. The buds are nice and all, but before considering the A57 or A37, take a look at the pricing of the Galaxy S25 FE and OnePlus 15R.
