In the Facebook video, we see a Zomato delivery agent sitting on a bike, waiting for the signal to turn green. As he waits, he reaches for the food order in the back in an insulated bag meant to keep it warm. He takes out a small food item – something that looks like fries or chips – and proceeds to eat it. As soon as the traffic starts moving, the video stops. The caption reads, “For all those who order from Zomato/Swiggy.” Watch the full clip below:

The video has attracted a lot of attention online. Opinions seem divided in the comments. While some were concerned about possible food tampering, others felt there could be more to the story and that we should not jump to conclusions. Read some of the reactions below:
“The seller must seal the food completely and ensure that it is not tampered with…”
“It could be his own food; they are very nice and polite. I always get sealed food. Sorry to say, we should not judge anyone.”
“He may have kept his food separately in his bag. Don’t make a snap judgment without confirming.”
“It could be his own food, and he kept it safe. Don’t make decisions without knowing.”
“What’s wrong with that, maybe this guy bought his food from a store to eat while working.”
“Maybe he kept some snacks for himself in the bag.. Be a human being… Aren’t delivery people hungry???”
“Normally Zomato delivers with multiple tapes. If it is tampered with, it can be easily identified.”
