Sweet tooths mostly love the two C’s: chocolate and cookies. When these two ingredients are combined together to make a dish, it naturally becomes the icing on the cake. Agree, foodies? If yes, then we have some ‘sweet’ news for you. A recent video on Instagram showcased the preparation of delicious chocolate-filled pastries, also known as Sleepy Teddies. The name is derived from the little bear-shaped cookies used to make the pastries, along with the generous amount of Lindt chocolate that goes into them. The caption reads, “These Sleepy Teddies are the cutest and easiest to make chocolate-filled pastries.”
The video begins with the woman cutting the puff pastry sheet into six squares. Six delicious Lindt chocolate cubes are placed on the squares. Next, it’s time to make the mini teddy cookies. Honestly, don’t these look too cute to eat? In the next step, the woman folds the bottom edge of the pastry sheet halfway over the teddy. The edges are sealed by pressing with a fork and then a beaten egg batter is applied. The final step involves baking the chocolate-cookie-laden sheets for 10 to 12 minutes until they turn golden brown. You can watch the full video here:

Reacting to the video, foodies queued up in the comments section. A keen gastronom wanted to know, “Can one add marshmallows to this? Or will it not cook well?” Another asked, “Does puff pastry need to be rolled out? I have seen a lot of people saying they puff up too much (haven’t tried it yet!).” One person asked if the bears are sold in the US. “I just want to make these for myself. So cute,” a user confessed. Among these comments, someone wrote, “Read the recipe. Save for the grandkids. How come the chocolate doesn’t melt after 10-12 minutes?” Many found the pastries absolutely “delicious”.
