Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu celebrated her 37th birthday on Thursday (August 1) in a grand manner. On this occasion, she was in Paris with her husband Mathias Boe and sister Shagun Pannu. She shared some glimpses of her birthday with her fans.
Taapsee Pannu, who is currently enjoying a fascinating trip to Paris, is also actively supporting her husband, former Olympic medallist Mathias Boe, at the 2024 Olympic Games. For those who don’t know, Mathias Boe is a leading badminton professional and the current coach and trainer of Indian players Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy. This week, Taapsee was spotted cheering them on at the Paris Olympics matches.
The actress shared a clip of her birthday celebrations with her husband Matthias Bo and her sister Shagun Pannu. In the caption, she joked, “If not started, the day may end with the cake.” In the video, Taapsee joked about the mistake with the date on the cake, telling Matthias that he could have written her age underneath it instead of writing it with her birth year, which would make it look like she was born in 1937, which is not true. Her playful conversation with Matthias reflects the fun and relatable dynamics of many couples.
Just before cutting the cake, Taapsee prayed for her husband to get more opportunities to plan things better for his next birthday. In the video, she can be heard saying, “Bhagwanji, please give him a little more opportunity next time to plan my birthday.” Her sister Shagun recorded the moment.
Taapsee also posted a summary of her birthday celebrations on Instagram, reflecting on the life lessons she learned from sports. She wrote, “Humph.. today was the day I had to remind myself what sports has taught me in life. No matter how disappointing losing is, pick yourself up and prove yourself the next day. Because you don’t fail when you lose, you fail when you give up. I’ve been living by this logic for the past many years and for years to come, never give up #leowoman Also this is how we grow with age #queeninparis #birthdayinparis.”
Taapsee Pannu married her longtime boyfriend Matthias Boe in Udaipur in March this year. In a recent interview with Fever FM, she revealed that Matthias proposed to her nine years ago, and they remained engaged until they got married this year. She said, “I said yes to his proposal nine years ago. It is probably one of the longest engagements in history.”
Meanwhile, on the professional front, Taapsee Pannu, who made her Hindi cinema debut with Chashme Badoor in 2013, was last seen in Dunki. Her upcoming projects include Khel Khel Mein and then Haseen Dillruba.
