The couple had a civil wedding at their respective residences in Mumbai in the presence of their family and friends. After their simple wedding, they hosted a grand reception at Bastian in Mumbai.

Sonakshi was seen smiling and also getting emotional while making her entry. She wore a heavily embroidered saree and completed her look with a bun at the back which was decorated with gajra.
On June 23, Sonakshi and Zaheer got married at their home in Mumbai. They shared their first pictures on their respective social media posts.
The newlywed couple wrote on the post, “On this day, seven years ago (23.06.2017) we saw love in its purest form in each other’s eyes and decided to hold on to it. Today that love has guided us through all the challenges and victories – leading to this moment… where with the blessings of both our families and both our Gods… we are now husband and wife.
