Actor Salman Khan attended the trailer launch event of Dharamveer 2 in Mumbai on Saturday. Several videos and photos from the event surfaced on social media. In one video, Salman was seen hugging actor Govinda. Several prominent people including Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde, Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis and Mumbai BJP president Ashish Shelar attended the trailer launch of Dharamveer 2.

In the second video, Salman hugged and shook hands with the dignitaries present on the stage. He hugged veteran actor Jeetendra and danced for a while before going up to Govinda and hugging him. The two had a few words before Salman sat next to the Maharashtra CM. Salman and Govinda had shared pictures earlier as well They showed great on-screen friendship in their movie Partner.

Salman was given a warm welcome at the event and was felicitated with a bouquet and a shawl. Speaking at the event, Salman said, “I came for the trailer launch of the first part (Dharamveer) and it was a superhit. I hope the sequel will be an even bigger hit. Thank you. Jai Hind. Jai Maharashtra!” Earlier, the Maharashtra CM along with actor Bobby Deol unveiled the poster of the film.

dharamveer movie 2022 It was reportedly a biopic of late Shiv Sena leader Anand Dighe, who was known for his Robin Hood-like but larger-than-life image. It was also intended to portray Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde on a larger scale. Actor Prasad Oak played the role of Anand Dighe, and Kshitij Date played the role of Eknath Shinde.

Dharamveer is scheduled to release in theatres on August 29.
