Disney Pixar’s animated production Above is etched in our memories forever. ICYDK: The comedy-drama revolves around an elderly gentleman who embarks on an unforgettable adventure in his “flying” crooked house supported by a bunch of balloons tied to the chimney. Over time, the “flying house” theme has inspired several decorations. Now, French-Swiss pastry chef and chocolatier Amaury Guichon has incorporated this quirky decoration idea into creating a chocolate house. How fun is that? Sharing the intricate preparation method on Instagram, he wrote, “Chocolate house in the sky! Can you guess how many balloons it has?”

The video begins with Amaury squeezing different food colours into several oval trays. After they dry, he makes several small balloons. A large amount of sticky liquid chocolate is poured into another oval container. After it dries, he sprinkles blue food colour on the giant balloon-shaped chocolate. Next, smaller balloons are pasted on it. Once the elaborate process is complete, the chef brings chocolate pieces and pastes them exactly in the same way on the shaped chocolates. Above Home.

Once the chocolate house was ready, Amaury painted the sweet structure in various colors. It really was like a “flying house”, isn’t it, foodie? Then a long stick is inserted into a large chocolate balloon and the chocolate house is stuck to the end of the stick. Tied to a rope attached to the ceiling, the famous Up House can be seen floating in the air, perfectly replicating the house shown in the movie. We loved it!
