While a section of the internet is praising the song, another section has criticised the track for its uncanny similarities with the trendsetting Sri Lankan track of 2021, ‘Manike Mage Hithe’.
The song’s composer Chamath Sangeeth reposted a video of an influencer who had made a video pointing out the similarities between ‘Chuttamalle’ and ‘Manike Mage Hithe’. He wrote, “Always been a fan of Anirudh’s work. I’m happy to see that my song ‘Manike Mage Hithe’ has inspired him to create something similar.”
