Jawan director Atlee, who is producing the upcoming Varun Dhawan-starrer Baby John, expressed his gratitude to Shah Rukh Khan, Thalapathy Vijay and Salman Khan for their contribution in his career.

After a dreamy Bollywood debut as a director with Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jaawaan, Atlee is now gearing up for the release of his production venture Baby John. The massive action entertainer directed by Kellys stars Varun Dhawan, Keerthy Suresh, Jackie Shroff and Wamiqa Gabbi in the lead roles.
Baby is a remake of John Atlee’s Tamil hit, Theri, which starred Thalapathy Vijay, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Amy Jackson in the lead roles.
Atlee expressed gratitude to many stalwarts of the industry during the film’s trailer launch event. Speaking about Shahrukh Khan, he said, “Without Shahrukh Khan sir, I would not have been able to enter Bollywood, would not have been able to make a film and would not have been able to produce a film now. Thanks to Shahrukh sir. Wherever you are, please bless us.”
He also credited Tamil superstar Thalapathy Vijay for shaping his career, saying, “My second thanks goes to my brother Thalapathy Vijay. He is my heart, soul and everything. Whatever I am today, I owe it to him.”
Atlee then thanked Salman Khan, who has a cameo in Baby John. He commented, “Special thanks to Salman Khan sir. “He has a big heart for what he did for Baby John.”
He also thanked his co-producers Jyoti Deshpande and Murad Kahtani for their contributions.

Praising Varun Dhawan, Atlee shared, “After Shahrukh Khan, the one person who believed in me before the release of Jaawaan was Varun Dhawan. The one promise I am making is that we are creating another superstar.
He further added, “What Animal has done for Ranbir Kapoor sir, I think by the grace of God, Baby John will do the same with Varun Dhawan.”
Atlee is a renowned director in the Tamil film industry, famous for his commercial filmmaking style. With box-office hits like Raja Rani, Theri, Mersal and Bigil, he established himself as a master mass entertainer, often collaborating with Thalapathy Vijay.
His first Bollywood film Jaawan grossed over Rs 1000 crore worldwide, cementing his reputation as a pan-Indian filmmaker. Fans are eagerly awaiting the announcement of Atlee’s next directorial.
