Watch: Diljit Dosanjh humorously changes song lyrics to avoid mention of alcohol, fans react
Diljit Dosanjh entertained his fans during his Hyderabad concert while following the guidelines of the Telangana government. The singer changed his lyrics to avoid references to alcohol, drugs or violence.

Ahead of his Hyderabad concert on 15 November, singer Diljit Dosanjh was directed by the Telangana government to refrain from performing songs promoting alcohol, drugs or violence. This directive comes in light of previous instances where such topics were part of their setlist. In response, Diljit made adjustments to his songs to entertain his fans.
Clips from the concert, where Diljit can be seen rewriting lyrics that previously mentioned alcohol, are circulating on social media. In one such video, the singer changed this line “I like your drink, I like lemonade.” with “Tainu teri coke cha pasand aa lemon paani” Performing their hit song Lemonade.
Diljit sang a song in another clip “5 Star Hotel Ch” instead of “5 star contracts raised” As soon as he presented the 5 star song. The singer was seen laughing while changing the lyrics of his song.

Fans praised Diljit for entertaining his audience. Government instructions. One Instagram user wrote, “The way he and his team changed the lyrics at the last minute to follow legal guidelines is worth applauding. Proves he is the greatest of all time.” Another user commented, “Love how she did everything without losing her signature touch! Love her! (sic).” A comment on the clip read, “Love the way he is using words so carefully in his songs for the people. Love this pure soul.”

Hyderabad was the third venue on the India leg of Diljit’s ongoing Dil-Luminati tour, which began with his performance in New Delhi on October 26. He will next perform in Ahmedabad.
