Actor Anupam Kher met superstar Rajinikanth at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s swearing-in ceremony in New Delhi on June 9. On Tuesday, June 11, Kher shared a video of himself with ‘Thalaivar’ and expressed his admiration for him. He called Rajinikanth “God’s gift to humanity”.

In the video, Kher is seen walking with Rajinikanth, surrounded by security guards and several others who were present at PM Modi’s swearing-in ceremony. ‘The Kashmir Files’ actor then praised 73-year-old Rajinikanth, saying, “The one and only, Mr. Rajini-Da-Kanth! The one and only! God’s gift to mankind! Vaah (waah)!”

Rajinikanth looked into Kher’s camera and smiled upon hearing the compliment. Sharing the video on social media, Kher wrote, “God’s gift to mankind! The one and only – #Rajinikanth! Jai Ho!”

Fans of the superstar agreed with Kher. Ashoke Pandit wrote in the comments section, “He is the one who reflects dignity, talent, humility, kindness and love (sic).” Actor Rakesh Bedi agreed with Anupam Kher, commenting on the video, “There is no doubt about it. And how simple he is.” Actor Darshan Kumar left heart emojis in the comments section.

Some fans also called both Rajinikanth and Kher “legends”.

Rajinikanth attended the swearing-in ceremony of PM Modi along with other actors like Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar and Kangana Ranaut.

The actor spoke to the media before leaving Chennai. He was quoted by ANI as saying, “Narendra Modi will take oath as Prime Minister for the third consecutive time. This is a huge achievement. My best wishes to him. People have also chosen a strong opposition in this parliamentary election. This will lay the foundation of a healthy democracy. I have received an invitation for Chandrababu Naidu’s swearing-in ceremony as Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister. I will let you know when I go there.”

On the work front, Rajinikanth was last seen in ‘Lal Salaam’ and is awaiting the release of TJ Gnanavel’s ‘Vettaiyaan’.
