Andrew Garfield has once again ventured into Tech World on-screen. This time, actor Artificial plays OpenEE CEO Sam Altman, who is a new comedic drama directed by Luka Guadagino. Real-time clips are going viral from the film installed in San Francisco, showing Garfield in “Tech-Brow” mode as films outside Altman’s actual home.
The fans quickly raised their slow, calculated walks, tucking the hands in his pocket, which many called the right Sam Altman impression. A Reddit user shared the back-lap footage and captioned it, “Andrew Garfield walked Sam Altman Walk!” Another said, “Some shots from the OpenEE film were found on Lombard,” confirming the shoot location.

Artificial is a comedic drama based on real events in Openai. It focuses on 2023 chaos when Sam Altman was briefly fired and then restored. Monica Berbaro starred as Meera Murati, and Ike Barinholatz played Elon Musk. Yura Borisov is inserted as Ilya Sataskewar.
The film is being shot in San Francisco, including places such as Dolores Park, Marina District and a famous Bay Area Restaurant. Supported by Amazon MGM Studio, the film has a USD 40 million budget and is expected to be released in 2026.
