Actor Akshay Kumar recently served food to people on the streets of Mumbai. A video of him serving food to people outside his house in Mumbai is being widely shared on social media. Akshay is waiting for the release of his film Khel Khel Mein.

In a video shared on a fan club of Akshay on X (formerly Twitter), the actor, dressed in a blue shirt and denim, is seen serving food in a plate and giving it to a woman. The woman then steps out and calls people to join the ‘langar’. She also passes on the plates given to her by Akshay to other people on the street. A religious bhajan can be heard playing in the background.

People on the internet were impressed with Akshay’s gesture. One of them commented on the video, “Akshay Kumar sir is so down to earth.” Another wrote, “A man with a golden heart.” A fan of the actor said, “Akki paaji, you have won my heart Akshay Bhai, you have won my heart.

Akshay is awaiting the release of his third film Khel Khel Mein this year. His previous films Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and Sarfira flopped at the box office. Khel Khel Mein, which is releasing on Independence Day, also stars Vaani Kapoor, Taapsee Pannu, Amy Virk and Fardeen Khan.

The actor often engages in philanthropic work. During the coronavirus outbreak, he donated Rs 1 crore to cricketer-turned-politician Gautam Gambhir’s organisation. He also donated Rs 25 crore to the PM CARES Fund. Impressed by her husband’s move, Twinkle Khanna expressed her pride in Akshay on Twitter, quoting: “I had nothing when I started and now that I am in this position, how can I hold back from doing whatever I can for people who have nothing.”

On August 15, ‘Khel Khel Mein’ will compete with ‘Stree 2’ and ‘Veda’ at the ticket counter.
